Say that you’re the type of person who gets really cold really easily and you realize that the prom dress that you chose might make things worse. So, short of going shopping for prom dresses again, what can you do in order to stay warm? It’s actually really, really simple and all that you have to do is use a few things that you already have.
First of all, remember that layers are always helpful. This doesn’t mean that you have to wear ten different shirts underneath of your shirt, but you may want to take the time to find a nice, warm sweater to wear on top of your dress. Choose a sweater that is a neutral color — preferably white for pastel colored dresses and black for brighter dresses. Or if you can find a dress that has a sweater of a similar shade, then you should try that instead. A cocktail dress in a darker color will hide some of the imperfections of your body.
Next, when you’re looking for your prom dresses, try to see if you can find matching tights or tights in a complimentary color. This adds a bit of flair to the look but it also helps to keep you warm. If you want, you could also consider tights instead. As for shoes, try and wear whatever you would like, but if necessary and your tights or stockings are opaque enough, then you could wear a pair of thin socks underneath of them. Whatever you do, there is still plenty of time to choose the prom dresses 2012 that will start beeing posted on line by the end of this summer.
